Good corrosion resistance to most alkali solutions, such as room temperature barium hydroxide, calcium hydroxide, magnesium hydroxide saturated solutions, but not for boiling sodium hydroxide solutions. Titanium is completely resistant to corrosion in sea water and most organic acids (except formic acid and oxalic acid). It has excellent corrosion resistance in wet chlorine gas, chlorite, hypochlorite and other chloride solutions. Corrosion resistance in sodium chloride solution increases with increasing pH value.
